Key Deliverables- Work closely with acquired companies to support accounting activities including invoice processing, accounts payable, vendor payments, billings & collections, fixed assets, reconciliations and ROUs journal entries.
- Monthly financial statements prepared in accordance with GAAP
- Optimize, develop, and monitor adherence to internal policies, procedures, and controls
Position Responsibilities- Ensure accounting of month-end close responsibilities are completed timely; implement robust processes to ensure financial statement integrity, including balance sheet account reconciliations and income statement analysis
- Making monthly compensation and benefits journal entries during month end close
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and cost savings
- Review AP/AR and WIP schedules
- Support financial audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations and coordinating with external auditors to ensure successful engagement
- Support team with key strategic and process improvement initiatives
- Assist with new financial technology implementations as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Position RequirementsMinimum- 3+ years of prior accounting experience in a similar role
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting
- Able to communicate accounting and financial information using common language
- Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements
- Excellent organization and priority setting skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong attention to detail with high accuracy
- Highly motivated, able to take initiative, and comfortable working independently
- Thrives in a fast pace, entrepreneurial environment
- Positive attitude, team player, works collaboratively
- Impeccable integrity and ethical standards
Preferred- Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum and Build Ops
- Experience with Construction/Contractor accounting
- Familiar with ASC 606 and ASC 842
