Overview: The Executive Director of Accounting is responsible for the preparation of the financial statements for WakeMed Health & Hospitals, a 919-bed private, not-for-profit health care system. Ensures the accuracy and integrity of the statements. Directly supervises managers, supervisors, and professional staff. Areas of oversight include accounts payable, payroll, capital accounting, affiliate and wholly-owned entity accounting, statistical reporting, general ledger maintenance and reporting, cash and investment management, bond reporting, accounting and reporting for subsidiaries, and accounting and reporting for grants and restricted funds.
