The Construction Accounting Clerk is responsible for data entry, checking for accuracy in reports and postings. Under the direction of the accounting manager, the accounting clerk will update and maintain records, reconcile statements. The role may also extend to assisting the company with internal operational chores such as office supplies. Maintaining a financial filing system (electronic).
Key Responsibilities:
Sub Batches: Receive, review, and enter subcontractor pay apps monthly.
Owner Payment Applications: Receive, review, and enter owner billings into the accounting system, ensuring proper classification and authorization.
Inbox Oversight (Accounting): Manage the accounting inbox and ensure all executed documents (SCOs, contracts) are entered into the accounting system.
Payment Execution: Prepare and process payments to vendors and subcontractors via checks, ACH, or wire transfers. (Backup to AP Manager)
