The Plant Staff Accountant provides analytical and costing support to corporate and plant leadership for manufacturing operations. What your day may look like Performs and coordinates the month end process for the manufacturing plants which includes making accruals, coordinating journal entries with plants, running the costing process, transferring the OPM subledger to GL and generating P&L's for each plant and the administrative areas in manufacturing. Maintains the OPM costing system. Performs costing setups and maintenance for the manufacturing costing process. Coordinates setups with other departments and plants as necessary. Audits the OPM costing system to validate the cost allocations. Performs reasonableness tests for the cost generated. Works with plants to transfer ownership of the cost data to the plant level.
