JOB SUMMARY: The Accounting Manager is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. The position is responsible for maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures for maintaining accurate and timely financial statements. This position reports to the Controller.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, reviewing account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies. Ensure proper classification of transactions.
Complete monthly journal entries and help with the execution of financial closings on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely monthly Work in Progress Schedule and Financial Statements.
Oversee Accounts Payable, Job Cost and Check Processing functions.
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
Communicate with internal stakeholders about changes, corrections, or other issues.
